Portaan Nahkurinverstas’ restaurant serves you mainly in summer season. In winter the restaurant is open occasionally and by reservation. Everything is prepared in our own kitchen, using local and seasonal ingredients.
Events in winter season
In winter time Nahkurinverstas’ restaurant is open occasionally mainly in connection of certain events and theme dinings, and by reservation for meetings, parties and other group visits.
In January -February the restaurant is open in Epiphany day on Jan 6th serving gulassi soup, coffee etc. and there will be a couple of blini evenings. In the spring there will be other theme dinings, Easter brunch etc.

Parties, meetings & group visits
The athmospheric restaurant offers a good setting for various family and business parties for up to 50 people.
The space is also appropriate for meetings and all the necessary equipment is available, and it’s easy to forget the everyday routine in the peaceful environment.
For groups on trips and other occasions we arrange meals and coffee services upon request.

Unique, beautiful space at peaceful riverside location
The restaurant operates in an old unique tannery building, built on the 19th century. In the same building there is also an authentic tannery museum which gives the place its own old-fashioned charm.
There is an efficient heating system in the restaurant, as well as cooling air conditioning, which guarantee appropriate inside temperatures throughout the year.
However, please note that the restaurant is located upstairs of the building and can only be reached by stairs.
In summer season there are tables also at the yard in the calming, fascinatengly green environment on the bank of small Turpoonjoki river.
Summer Restaurant and Terrace
In summer (mainly in June-July) the opening hours are a bit more regular. You can enjoy tasty holiday lunch or start Sundays at our breakfast type brunch.
You can also stop by for a while and have glass of wine or a local OlutMylly beer at our terrace in a refreshing milieu. Or you can travel back in time in our museum and have a cup of coffee and a pastry afterwards.
